Location, Parking, and Transportation CHURCH LOCATION
Travis Park UMC is located in dowtown San Antonio at the corner of Travis and Navarro. We are centrally located in the city with many downtown attractions within walking distance of us. We are across the street diagonally from Travis Park.
PARKING Parking is free on Sunday mornings and on Christmas Eve. The management of the Travis Park Plaza Parking Garage (across the street from the church) allows us to provide free parking in their garage on Sundays. Please park on the 5th or 6th floor. When you park in the garage on Sunday mornings, bring your parking ticket and get a validation ticket from the greeters at the information desk as you enter the church. Both tickets are needed to exit the garage. The tickets we pass out are only good for Sundays. The garage will not honor them for free parking on any other day.*
Christmas Eve is the only exception. Free parking is available for the noon and 7 pm services on Monday, December 24, 2012.
Our small parking lot next to the church is available for church parking throughout the week and for visitors, families with small children and persons with mobility challenges. We charge $8.00 for non-church parking.
When you attend a non-church event downtown, please support the work of our church by parking in our church lot and paying the $8 parking fee. If you have any questions about parking, please don’t hesitate to contact the church office.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Travis Park United Methodist Church (TPUMC) is located on Travis St. between St. Marys St. and Navarro St., where most major VIA bus routes run, including lines 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 14, 82, 88, 90, 91, 92, 96, and 97. The fare is $1 which includes one bus transfer. Discounts for students, senior citizens, and partially disabled people apply. For more information, go to www.viainfo.net or call 210-362-2020.
