The last weekend of September, Travis Park Church was alive with the energy of community effort. On Friday, members and community partners came together to refresh the landscape beds along Travis Street and Navarro Street. Crews began early in the morning, working steadily to remove old rock, concrete, and roots before filling the beds with fresh soil.
We are deeply grateful for the many hands that made this project possible. Turner Construction sent 15 employees along with three skilled laborers, FPC Architects joined us with four team members, and five helpers from Travis Park Church pitched in.
The following day, our own Green Team stepped in to prepare the gardens for a season of winter rest, building on the solid foundation of Friday’s hard work.
This collaboration is not only making the outside of our church as beautiful as our newly renovated interior spaces, but it also demonstrates the power of what can be accomplished when we come together in numbers and focus our efforts on a shared goal.
