This week, a new ministry partnership brought five of our street neighbors together with dental professionals for cleanings and care. The morning was truly a team effort.

The San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic, located on the Haven for Hope campus, generously provided the space for the cleanings. The clinic has served the community for more than a decade, and Gloria Canseco, who runs the clinic, helped make this new partnership possible.

Corazon San Antonio provided transportation, with Gustavo “Goose” Flores arriving early to pick up Dean, Sara, Remmie, Kathy, and Manuel and get everyone safely to the clinic. Corazon also provided lunches for everyone to take with them afterward.

Dental hygienists and Travis Park Church members Donna Clark and Jessica Styles provided the dental care and are helping imagine what this new ministry can become. They would love to connect with other dental hygienists interested in joining them.

Travis Park Church Mission and Outreach Team member Megan Paterson made coffee and handed out snacks, while Volunteer Coordinator Stacy Harless came along to help capture the morning in photos.

Five neighbors received care, but it took people and organizations across our community working together to make it happen.

We are grateful for everyone who helped make this first outing possible, and we hope there will be many more reasons to smile ahead.
