Travis Park Church returns to in-person
worship on Sunday, May 16th!
There are NEW PARKING and COVID procedures to follow.
What's New FAQ...
Please refer to this parking guide map and read it carefully. We no longer have free parking at Travis Park Plaza, the garage directly across from the church. We are no longer able to park at the bank across the street from the church.
ON SUNDAY MORNINGS park in the St. Mary’s Garage (corner of Travis and St. Mary’s streets) and we will validate your parking ticket for a FOUR HOUR INCREMENT between 7am-3pm. The church pays $3 for each parking voucher. Parking in the St. Mary’s Garage without validation is $5. If your stay in the garage is over 4 hours you will pay $2 for the additional sum. If you're able, you can help us cover our new parking costs at travispark.org/give.
Please help us reserve the Travis Park Church Lot (right next to the church) for new guests and for those with limited mobility. This parking lot is only free until 1pm on Sundays. We also have a drop off zone on Travis Street right in front of the church entrance (see map).
Coming early or staying late for groups or volunteering? Please communicate with your group leaders. Our parking situation is a work in progress.
Read signs carefully, no matter where you choose to park.
At this time, both a pre-recorded online and in-person worship will be at 9:45 am.
New worship times may roll out in June.
- Masks are required when indoors for all people. Need a break from the mask? Please go outside to breathe in the fresh air and come back inside with your mask when you are ready.
- Please observe social distancing and sit with your pod.
- Temperature checks will be performed.
- At this time, we will not congregate indoors after worship. But you can go outside or venture to the beautiful park within walking distance.
- These precautions are subject to change.
Yes. Every person is required to wear a mask while inside. We understand it is difficult for some to wear masks. At this time if you cannot wear a mask for any reason, please enjoy virtual worship. We hope to have you back as soon as it is safe to do so!
YES! Don't worry. We know that some of you are not ready or cannot return to in-person worship at this time. The time may change, but we will continue to provide virtual worship on our Facebook and YouTube channels. We're so happy to have you join us in worship in whatever way feels right to you and your family.
At this time, we will not provide nursery care during worship. Children of all ages are invited to join us in the main sanctuary. The Pray Ground will also not be open in order to keep children from gathering with others outside their household. We look forward to bringing child care (infant-4 years) back to our wonderful parents as soon as we are able!
Families can find busy bags by the sanctuary doors. Please label your busy bag with the provided marker and leave the bag in your pew after worship and pick up a new Children’s Bulletin next week.
Friends, we look forward to experiencing the "newness" of coming back together as one body. Please help us observe distancing between families and pods. This may require you to branch out and sit in a new spot.
For those that are able, please consider sitting upstairs and spread out as much as possible. We will use every other row.
For now, we will not be serving cookies or congregating inside the hall after worship.
We know you've waiting a long time to come back and cannot wait to catch up with one another. If you would like to spend more fellowship time after worship, please exit the building and speak outside. Or, just walk across the street and spend time together at the park!
Please connect with your group leaders to determine how your classes and small groups will choose to move forward. Some will remain on Zoom, some will return to in-person, and some may choose to be hybrid.
We invite each person who attends Travis Park Church to determine individually if they are ready to return to in-person worship.
As you make this decision, please consider this article that talks about the direction of the CDC director who says that Masked, fully vaccinated people can safely attend worship indoors. READ MORE
Things may look different than they did last year before COVID, but we are so excited to take this first step back into in-person worship with you. With your help, flexibility, and understanding as one community, we will soon be back to BETTER THAN NORMAL.
We need volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Pastor Valerie.
