Travis Park Church is 175 Years
Travis Park Church will celebrate turning 175 ALL YEAR LONG in 2021! Please invite old and new friends of Travis Park Church to join us, and share ideas with Paula Stallcup on our 175th anniversary committee.
On February 4, 1846 – just as Texas was becoming a state – the Methodist Episcopal annual conference in Houston sent Rev. John Wesley DeVilbiss as a missionary to San Antonio. Our church was formed later that year, at the heart of a city that then had 730 residents.
Raising Hope
During our 175th anniversary year, we are working with EHCÜ Public Relations to share Travis Park’s impact with the wider community and raise financial support from business and community partners.
Information on this “Raising Hope, Anchored in Faith” campaign to help rebuild the youth building and grow our mission outreach will be shared at raisinghope.travispark.org.
