Send in your recipes!
This year, the Emmaus Youth Choir is creating an all-church, Travis Park, cookbook. Some of the best memories made are made with friends or family gathered around a table. The joy of fixing food with your parents and grandparents, with your children, with your friends. Think of the recipes that you grew up with, that you watched being made as a child, that you shared together for Sunday dinner or on a typical week night. Many of those recipes probably came out of church cookbooks from the past. From different denominations, out of small towns, from special and sacred kitchens. This year we are carrying on that tradition!
We are asking for recipes from your kitchen! They can be your originals, they can be ones from old cookbooks that you’ve perfected, they can be from the church cookbook that you pulled out of your grandmother’s recipe cabinet! We need all parts of the meal – appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, sides, and desserts.
There are several ways that you can submit. Please make sure to include your name so that we can share who’s kitchen the recipe is from, and you’re welcome to include the origins of that recipe if you’d like. All submissions are due by October 16. If you have questions, please reach out to Caroline Collins at Caroline@travispark.org.
