Music at Travis Park Church

Sanctuary Choir

Directed by Caroline Collins

The Sanctuary Choir is for ages 18 and beyond. We sing each week during worship, collaborate with other choirs for special services or events, and have worked together to create virtual choral experiences. We sing a wide variety of music from simple to challenging, which keeps our brains working and us on our toes. If you can sing on pitch, have some prior musical experience, and have a heart for singing, we would love for you to join us! Travis Park Church strives towards an inclusive and affirming music community. Any time is a great time to join. Contact Caroline Collins to get connected. The Sanctuary Choir meets for rehearsal weekly on Sunday evenings. Contact Caroline Collins for more information.

Worship Band

Directed by Chas Waters

With a high energy approach to the contemporary Christian genre, our band leads worship every Sunday morning with engaging and vibrant songs. We choose music with meaningful and inclusive messages to facilitate an atmosphere of worship. Musicians play piano, guitar, bass, and drums. Lyrics come alive with the vocal ensemble and worship leader. Participation in this group does require an audition. Singers rehearse weekly on Sunday mornings after worship.

Come make a Joyful Noise! with the Children’s Choirs at Travis Park! Cherub Choir is for children ages 2 – 1st grade. Joyful Noise! is for children 2nd – 5th grade. The children’s choirs perform in worship once a month. Sometimes the choirs will sing together, and sometimes older and younger children sing separately. Each spring we put on a Children’s Musical that fosters independence, leadership, and ownership. We truly try to give children an opportunity to express their gifts and shine during worship and rehearsals! Travis Park Church strives towards an inclusive and affirming music community. Choir tours have taken us to Atlanta, St. Louis, the Texas panhandle, New Orleans, Chicago, west Texas, and more. Right now in EYC, we are focused on learning to play ukulele, guitar, and keyboard. We do two major fundraisers during the spring with a few other smaller fundraising opportunities throughout the year. EYC meets weekly on Sunday evenings.
