The City of San Antonio Office of Sustainability has organized neighborhoods into groups called PODS to care for their neighbors. The Travis Park Green Team and the Travis Park POD collaborated to secure a $5,000 grant for the “Beat the Heat” program.
On Sunday, August 3 we distributed cooling items to help our neighbors, including:
Ballcap or Boonie Hat
Cooling Towel
16 oz Water Bottle
Hydration Packets
Sunscreen
SPF Lip Balm
Foldable Hand Fan
Thermometer
Hand Soap Sheets
Fruit Strips
Sunglasses
